Guyol is a world-renowned sculptor.  He is among the world’s famous names in crystal.  Guyol represented the United Stated in the “International Crystal Event” held in 1981 that included original works of art from seven different countries. His glass fine art sculptures are found in collections all over the world. Guyol sculptor is also known for his beautiful work in the impressive mediums of both steel and bronze.

Guyol’s distinctive style is both memorable and original.  Guyol is most notable for the movement he recreates from nature, and the striking fluidity he is able to achieve in the exquisite medium of crystal.  His work recalls a timeless quality of true art that characterizes the essence of nature and the beauty it embraces.

Guyol’s unique crystal sculptures consist of multiple pieces that are placed in a black Lucite acrylic base.  For assembly of the artwork, each sculpture has etched numbers on the individual stems of each piece.  The etched numbers correlate with a provided schematic (number map) and are easily placed in their correct position.  A large piece can be assembled in a matter of minutes. Each crystal sculpture is an original and bears a Certificate of Authenticity.

Every sculpture is annealed in a kiln, and as a result there is an impressive strength to crystal.  The work travels exceptionally well and has been shipped as far as Australia, South Africa, Malaysia, Canada, Japan, Hawaii, and Europe. 

In late 1991, Guyol extended his medium to include stainless steel.  Guyol has combined a delicate balance of crystal and stainless steel to produce works of the highest compliment to each medium.  He has also designed work solely with stainless steel that carries his signature touch of nature stylized through the use of simple line.

Guyol’s studio has been in Southern California since 1971.
